Permanent Sterilization
Sterilization is a form of birth control that is permanent. It should be performed only if you and your partner are positive you do not want anymore children or any children at all. Frequently, the process in women is called “tubal ligation.”
This is an outpatient surgical procedure performed at a surgical facility. The surgery is performed by Dr. Dooley via laparoscopy. Generally, the entire fallopian tube is removed. Most patients go home the same day and recover rapidly over the next week.
